We are always looking for new talent for live theater show tours that travel to schools and events across the U.S.

We are now casting for our Spring 2009 tours of these shows:

Casting Requirements

All cast members must be available to tour nationally and have a valid driver's license. Requirements for each show are listed below:


FOODPLAY

Both actors must be able to present a good role model for young children, have a strong speaking voice, great stage presence and an interest in working with children.

  • Coach: male or female actor with an energetic physicality. Juggling and other special skills a plus. Must be willing and able to learn basic juggling and some tricks.

  • Janey/ Johnny: female or male actor with a background in juggling, youthful appearance and energy. Advanced juggling and other special skills a plus. Must be proficient in basic juggling and willing and able to learn some tricks.

THIS IS YOUR LIFE!

Both actors must be able to play late teens/ early twenties with strong speaking voice and able to present a good role model for adolescents.

  • Mike: male comic actor with a background in improvisation, strong physical comedy skills. Quick thinking and adaptability very important.

  • Wendy: female comic actor with appealing stage presence, and ability to play the "straight man" while maintaining a sense of fun. Background in improvisation a plus.

Stage Managers

FoodPlay Productions seeks Touring Stage Manager/Troupe Manager for spring tour of award-winning nutrition theater shows. Typical travel is 5-6 days/week, home on weekends. Pay, travel, lodging, some meals provided.

Ideal candidate presents professional and positive role model for children, flexible, strong leader, organized, good driver with penchant for travel. Serves as company ambassador to schools, supports performer troupe, is cool under pressure, has positive attitude. Has working knowledge of sound equipment and theater or is willing to learn. Must have valid driver's license. Persons with diverse backgrounds and experience encouraged to apply!

You will need to come to an interview at one of our audition locations or our office in Hatfield, Massachusetts.
