"I wholeheartedly give this program
a 10!!! Get it out to other schools
and tell them they can count on me for a great recommendation!"
— Susan
Fallon, Health Coordinator, Triton Regional Schools, MA

"Exciting, outstanding, captivating
are just a few of the words used to describe This Is Your Life!
For a full week after the presentation
our teachers and staff were still handing out compliments!"
— Frances Boucher, Health Coordinator,
Murdock Middle School, Winchendon, MA
"Your group in one hour
accomplished all that we have been trying to do the whole year!"
— Esther Riopello, RN, School
Nurse, Varnum School, MA
"This Is Your Life! should be
an annual health assembly for every middle school in the 21st
century! Perhaps the greatest challenge
in middle school education is to hold the attention of young
adolescents, while at the same time, trying to communicate information
in a meaningful manner. There is no magic potion that guarantees
this result, but the 'magic' performed by your troupe
came as close to the real thing as possible!"
— Al Jangi, Guidance Counselor, Williams
Middle School, Longmeadow, MA
"Bravo! This Is Your Life! was the best presentation
I have seen at the school. Our
students are inner-city kids and do not easily give their approval
to 'talks'. They were riveted for the entire hour. The message
was excellent and delivered with wonderful humor; again few
people seem able to reach middle school students' funny bones.
This team did."
— Teachers, Bartlett Middle
School, Lowell, MA
"A wonderful presentation! The
troupe was 'in tune' with the unique mind set of adolescents."
— Kathryn E. Tucker, Housemaster,
Blackstone-Millville Regional Middle School, MA

" The glowing comments from the
students and teachers are still coming in! A
teacher said she couldn't believe how many students were asking
her questions after the show, and a seventh grader told her
that she was making a promise to substitute all sodas with fruit
juices! I also appreciated all the materials you provided in
advance, including the teacher's guidebook, press release and
resource pamphlets."
— Gale Kobray, Cultural Arts Representative,
Milburn Middle School, NJ
"The reaction from our ninth -
eleventh grade student and faculty members was overwhelmingly
positive! The actors kept the audience
constantly engaged by their passion and wit. The issues dramatized
are highly relevant to the physical and mental well-being of
adolescents."
— Henri Andre, Director of Health
Education, Buckingham Browne & Nichols School, MA
"It is not often that two individuals
can capture the undivided attention of 350 adolescents, but
that is exactly what happened. The
delivery was sharp, exciting, and definitely funny! The issues
were right on target, and if 12, 13, and 14 year old boys and
girls are talking about it, maybe, just maybe, they will be
a little more empowered to resist the stereotypical images that
the media bombards them with daily."
— Kirsty B. Hebert, Vice Principal,
Davisville Middle School, N.Kingstown, RI
"At the Annual NC School Nurse Conference
yesterday, I had the opportunity to see FoodPlay Productions perform
their show, This Is Your Life! It was FUN... very upbeat, fast
paced, highly entertaining, thought provoking, health promoting,
and educational. The play covered
such important topics as Nutrition, Fitness, Self Esteem, Body
Image, Eating Disorders, Tobacco Prevention, Osteoporosis and
Media Literacy. They also offer resources like f/u tools for students,
teachers, health staff, parents and the press. Their productions
are Emmy Award Winning! All of it was done in the fast-paced,
hip & cool style that adolescents love! In other words, they are
a great model of how to make learning important health information
FUN (& more memorable). Just wanted to share my enthusiasm for
this group, and my thoughts about using them at your next Annual
Conference. "

Children and Youth Branch, North Carolina Department of Health
and Human Services
