This Is Your Life! (5th through 10th
grades) is a 45-minute live theater performance and follow-up resource
kit which uses the power and excitement of live theater to turn today’s
youth on to healthy eating, exercise, and tobacco-free habits.
Featuring thought-provoking drama and rib-tickling humor,
This Is Your Life! performers speak to adolescents in their language and
help them critically evaluate media messages and peer group pressures in
order to make their choices healthy ones. This Is Your Life! was originally
sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Massachusetts Department
of Public Health, and is a science-based program with proven results showing
dramatic improvements in student knowledge, attitudes and behaviors regarding
nutrition, physical activity, and health.
This Is Your Life! programs are a great way to trigger school-wide
excitement and get everyone on board to work together to improve the nutrition
and health environments in schools and communities.
