The Story of Sweet Potato…From Farm to Fame!

Are you looking for a totally fun-filled show that gets children laughing, singing, and exploring—while helping them fall in love with healthy food and the power of being themselves?

Meet Sweet Potato, who grows up happy and strong on her family farm until…she spots a flashy billboard for fast food French fries, boasting  “We’re  #1 – The Most Popular Potato in the World!”

“How could that be?” Sweet Potato wonders, “How are they even potatoes? They don’t look like potatoes. They certainly don’t look like me!”

When the tall golden French fries tease her for not looking like them and fitting into their “perfect”  image, she starts to question herself. But Sweet Potato is not only sweet, she’s super-smart, fueled by her many nutrients – so she has an idea – she’ll investigate and find out how the French fries got that way. She sets off on a musical adventure through a Russet potato field and into a mysterious fast food French fry factory, where she’ll discover the harrowing steps these potatoes went through to become “popular”.

Through her journey, she sees that with each step of processing, packaging, and marketing, the potatoes lose their nutritional value along with all the traits that makes each one unique. They emerge looking, tasting, and acting exactly the same…all to fit in and be popular!

Bursting with enchanting music, puppetry, juggling, humor, and heart, Sweet Potato showcases the power of staying true to herself, proud to be full of natural goodness, and celebrating the special qualities that makes her one of a kind – inside and out!
